Emulation for the APF MP-1000 and the Imagination Machine works pretty well. All of the cartridges games work properly in APF_EMUW and Space Destroyers can be made to work in Virtual APF by changing some settings. Both of the emulators also support tapes and other computer related settings not needed just for the emulator of just the plain APF MP-1000 game console.
1) APF_EMUW - Full Package
2) APF_EMUW - Newest Emulator Only
|APF_EMUW, By Enrique Collado
This is an easy to setup emulator. There are no debugging capabilities. The ROMs for this emulator must in the S19 format.
Download the full package. This package includes an older version of the emulator and a few tapes. There are no ROM cartridges included except for Enrique's homebrew cartridge called "Columns." Afterward, download the newest version of the emulator only (at this point it is 080418, that is April 18, 2008). Place the newest version of the emulator into the older version's folder and then you're completely set-up.
This APF MP-1000 and Imagination Machine emulator at this point (version .139) does NOT work properly. They are still treating the VDG like a TRS-80 Coco. The ROMs for this emulator must be in the plain binary format.
Unless you plan on helping out the MESS project by helping to program and fix this emulator, then try another APF emulator.
